Not detecting modchip after flash

I successfully reflashed my modchip but now when i turn on my xbox, the logo appears then the screen goes black and says it doesn't detect a modchip. Please help.

what happens when you boot with chip disabled?

bios: X3-1463
Xbox version 1.5

When i boot without the modchip it says that service is required but i suspect that is because i replaced the hard drive.

the error message pops up after the xbox logo and the rocks my box logo appears and is simply. "No Xecuter3 chip detected"

I've seen that message before in other forum posts, do a search to see the ones i'm talking about. Also, get a more up to date bios.
