ANSWERED Not detecting my drive

I've tried to flash my drive but for some reason it's not detecting the drive.

It was working for like few mins after attempting to flash with LT3.0 (not flashed but drive went offline), but then it doesn't work .. possible bad flash? I wasn't sure if my mobo isn't designed with junglerflasher. I've ordered VIA 6421 and got the card installed, plugged the drive and check .. it still not picking up the drive. - I put my drive back in 360 and noticed that I got E64 error.

I've test with different sata cable but haven't tried the power cable as don't have spare one around. I'm hoping that maybe someone can give me a step by step what I should try in order to get it to work again.

My xbox is ELITE (mfg date is 2009 Nov) and it's definitely liteon

I'm kinda n00b but oggy fix up my xbox back in May 2010 and I have flashed the drive few times with no problem.

Any help/guide to what I should do, OR maybe if anyone of you live around my area (Derby, UK) are happy enough to sort my drive out while I wait, that would be great.

have you tryed intro device id in jungleflasher to see if it will detect your drive again,also have you got your dummy bin,and which dash are you on/ E64: DVD Drive Error - Dvd drive timed out during reset :Wrong firmware, dvd is without f/w chip, etc. This can also be caused by the tray not being fully closed on boot. also it could mean that the Kernel can't be launched/signature in NAND Flash chip is broken It could be possible after bad update this might also be caused by a bad sata cable

I have tried "intro device id" on every port .. it still showing lots of dots i.e. "......." for a while .. sound like it's not picking up?

I do have Lite-OFW.bin (done by oggy)

I'm on dash 2.0.13604.0

Other info may be interest ya .. when drive is disconnected, my xbox boots up 100% fine (not connected to network as i don't want to update to latest flash just yet?)

All i have here is the Maximus 360 Power Dongle and the 360 UNLOCK KIT.

Yea, i use Maximus 360 Power Dongle to power cycle.
Hmmm, I can't update to the latest dash now because if I plugged the drive in, i'll get E64.

I will keep trying - should I go back to older LT2.0? then update to latest dash .. then go back and flash to the latest LT3.0?

no you need to flash to stock frimware then update you have got your dummy bin dont you

Possible broken drive? - It is possible to buy a replacement drive or is my xbox going to travel to my nearest trash bin?

Or would it be less hassle for me if I were to take it for services by a professional around my area? If so, do u know anyone around my area that does them?

I highly recommend the x360usb pro for flashing drives. I had issues before with the via 6421. With the x360usb pro no need to worry about the portio's and compatibility issues with your system. Just install the drivers and go. Combine the x360usb pro with the ck3i and you flashing will be much easier IMO.

yes the x360usbpro its worth it no hassle plus it sounds like you have erased your fw from the drive you could try in frimware tool 32 load your dummy bin in source and ofw 02510c in target press spoof source to target make sure both keys match then go to liteon erase and follow the on screen messages if looking for someone to do it for you put an ad in the request service are item at the bottom of the fourm page you will get someone around your area

What's "dummy" and "ofw"

OFW would be my Lite-OFW.bin?
If so, what dummy file? where should I get that?

Also, like i said, the drive is not detecting at all .. i can't erase or anything now .. it's looks like the drive have actually have died.

I may have erased the fw by mistake ..

dummy bin is what you get when probe the drive it has all your information and key for your drive who ever flashed it for you will have it contact them for it, ofw is official firmware used for when you are flashing back to stock

Ah good, i guess i renamed the file wrongly .. thanks.

I will buy this x360usb pro .. do i need to buy anything else? i.e. CK3i, Probe? XT ADAPTER? link here-- Because I've only got the unlock kit and this Maximus 360 Power Dongle.

Hehe, well i don't plan to do anything for my mate's - i dont really know any one that does xbox mod, they're all "original" (anti-mod) .. so it'll be only for myself. - I've managed fine so far with this unlock kit and this Maximus 360 Power Dongle but may have to get this x360usb but surely don't need anymore after this? - i'm tight and can't afford too much for "unnecessary" stuff.

The real reason for this, i'm fedup with my kids saying "I want that game" - bought this £30-£40 game and few days later, my kids saying that it's "boring" so I can't really afford to keep buying those expensive games after hearing them moaning about it. (I buy original for myself i.e. Forza2/3/4 and few others but for my kids, I don't care )

I do hope it'll works as my drive still doesn't detect using Maximus 360 Power Dongle. Lets order this now and get over and done with.
