I've flashed plenty of these before so I am not sure why this one is different. Now the dvd drive isn't opening no matter what I do

Im using a CK3 Pro Rev D + X360 USB

It may be because you spoofed the drive. 3.0 doesn't support spoofed drives.

Id suggest replacing the laser. Sometimes the Hitachi drives have a hard time reading the xgd3 if their laser is going out

First double check your XGD3 back-ups with KPROBE 2 and make sure the results are within the guidelines.

Next Verify the disc data with the ISO.

Do a POT Tweak (This is only to determine if the laser is at fault, this is not a permanant fix) if you get the laser to read the discs then buy a new one and replace it.

lt3.0 hasn't been released for hitachi drives
ap2.5 isn't detected by hitachi 59's anyway
sounds like a laser issue, since the hitachi's are sh*t for lasers
do as DrunkenNinja has suggested

Hitachi 59's do not need LT+3.0 as they cannot perform ap2.5 checks. Your XGD3 games should work fine as long as the drive is not spoofed as another.

Do your original XGD3 games work?

Are you using verbatim disks?

What were you Kprobe results like?

If it no longer opens, It may be that the the inner workings of the drive may be at fault. Try to disassemble the drive (removing the top and bottom metal casings) and see if it opens then.

Got it all sorted.

I guess the drive was bricked because it would no longer open. Flash key to the another hitachi 59. Still had Open Tray error

Than did a pot tweak and reads everything great now.

Thanks for the help
