**Not Sure Where This Belongs** Upgrading To X3 From 2.3b?

Hey, i have currently the Xecuter 2.3b Pro modchip, but i've been drooling at all the features of the number 1 modchip in the Xbox community, the X3, and i want that sooo bad, but i dont want to buy it if i'm not going to be able to upgrade to it easily from my 2.3b pro, will i be able to? i sure hope so, cause this sh*t is all hot and i'm dieing to get it

so basically what i need to know is, are most of the cables compatible with the X3? like the wires that had to be soldered in, because i didn't use the pins, i used the wires

Nah sorry ..2.3B wiring not the same.
if was a 2.6 to X3 then ok. they r the same wires.

Hey, i've been thinking of doing the same thing.. what would the procedure be to uprade from a 2.3b to a 3.0/2.6?

desolder everything and start fresh. If you have a harddrive upgrade then youe might also want to unlock it. you never know what might happen....

desoldering is difficult, time consuming, and if in the wrong hands, could make things worse, order a new motherboard, get the Xapt3r or go ahead and solder away for that 2.6 or X3, stop drooling and get that sh*t, i know from experience the X3 is the damn sh*t. thats all there is to it, also a money saver in the long run if youre trying to change your leds on power eject to red or orange, you can change the colors in the LIVE! BIOS. As well as cycling through all the colors (like 1 second re, then green, then orange..repeat..repeat..repeat)
