nothing loading after X3 is disabled

I modded my xbox and everything worked. I also upgraded my HD (160 GB) and loaded the dash onto that and that worked. The problem I have is when I disable the x3 chip (holding the power key >1 sec) the chip is disabled, but takes me to an error screen. Theres a number 13 on the top left corner and the message reads: Your xbox requires service. Please call Xbox Customer Support. DId I forget to change something in the evox.ini or add something? can anybody shine some light on this?

Did you try locking the HD then rebooting?

13 Kernel Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.

With your new hard drive, you probably didn't install the msdash. (either from an installer or your backup from your original drive)

if you did copy it over but you get this error then format the C: drive using the x3 BIOs and then use slayers 2.6 to restore the msdash

It loaded fine after i locked the hard drive and stuck a game in there... should it load to original dash without a game inside?

WIth the HDD locked you should be able to disable chip and boot straight to M$ dash without a game inside

Hitachi and new games

I just flashed a hitachi version 79 with ixtreme1.51 and it wont run a new game (need for speed) it recognizes it as a game and even updated the counsel but says it has a disc read error. Is the 1.51 the latest firmware or do i need to do something else? It plays all of the older burnt games that I have?

hitachi 79s do not have support for AP2.5 games yet

C4 has promised a soon release of a firmware for hitachi 78/79

however, you just flagged that xbox for the next ban wave by attempting to play a new game on that firmware

LT Plus v1.1 has been released - its the ONLY fw that will allow playing of ap25 games!
