Now that I have my RGH going..

I used to run my backups with ixtreme but now that I have my Coolrunner RGH going strong with FSD2 I would like to run my backups off my ext hdd. I have been using imgburn to backup my backups to an iso then use exiso to rip those to my ext hdd. The question I am asking is can I rip my backup discs straight to my ext hdd without making them into isos's first?

You cannot rip them straight to your external drive to the best of my knowledge but you can on an internal drive.

I ripped all of my game to external USB drive and they work great, you can also put them on the internal drive but I use that for my games saves, I ripped one game from 7.5 gig to 380 megs, lots of padding.

Ok read your post again, No you can't and the way you are doing it now is the fastest.

Ok thats what I thought mickey3177 I would just use my dvd drive in my 360 if I had one but its dead.

Yes you can rip then straight to external hard drive in FSD. There is a copy feature

I didn't know you could select the destination using FSD, my bad .

You can but it doesnt allways like to copy a full disk on its own. When it doesnt you have to do it manually one files at a time. Its a lot of clicks that drives a guy nuts!

I ended up doing mine in XeX menu
