so you mean flash the chip with the old hard drive in it still, and if it works, i just change the hard drive, and use the auto installer to install XBMC?

i finally formatted my HDD and i installed XBMP just to see if i could put a dash. I think XBMP is a peice of crap and i want to switch to xbmc. i got the files in a rar package and it says "T3ch" or something like that, then there so many files. i have no idea how to install this?! i have searched on google, but each one i have seen is complicated, so some help would be nice.

i've got one more question hopefully, since i ahve xbmp as my dash when i boot my xbox, to uninstall it do i just delete the files and xbe file?

i tryed aid 3.10 and it is very confusing. the instruction say open one rar file, but ther are 20 rar files and i still dont know how to make it update. i tryed it once and it installed three programs, and tryed to install xbmc but it when i rebooted it, it had an error so i had to delete it.
unrar the frist rar file of download winrar will then unrar all of the rar files you will then have a couple of folders and a iso image you burn this a howtoo folder is in the download

how would i type that in the ini file, sorry it is still a little confusing.

the ini file came with the x2 bios download you got from xbins
it a file that look like a note pad with a litle chog on it
open with note pad then look for this

ok i got really anxious on installing the dash so i made the auto installer 3.10. it worked pefectly. now i just want xbmc to be my main dash, how do i do that? also i installed the xbmc in my f partition. and evox automatically loads up as my main dash, do i just delete the evox ini and evoxdash.xbe and replace it with xbmc file or something like that?

thats the evox dash ini file
reformat hard drive using AID3
install ms dash using AID3
install XBMC in C:/ as a dash using AID3
now reboot you should have xbmc as main dash when chip is on and ms dash when off

i installed xbmc by the auto installer and then when 4.0 came out, i tryed to install it because it said that the new auto installer had the latest build of xbmc. well when i installed the xbmc, it was the same version. so then i tried to manually install it, so i transfered all the files, in to the f partition under apps(because it is an app for me) and then the version is still the not the newest. i made sure the version i used was 2.0.1. can you please help me in any way, i would greatly appreciate it.
