ANSWERED Now what ?

First a big thank you to all who helped me hack this xbox.

Ok so I have got my CPU key - my drive key (which is what I needed), so now I'm thinking nice 1 perhaps I should go all the way and run unsigned code and all the works.

So using the jtag tool from coolshrimp I put in my cpu key and click the freeboot button. I flash the nand it makes for me, and i update it using the MS Update button.

All works - but like is this it ? it looks just like any other dash - wheres all the goodies ?

Now the fun begins....install xexmenu 1.1 on your hdd, then use search for how to install games to your hard drive, themes etc etc

have a look for dashlaunch v2.21 and freestyle dash 2.0 rc2.1
have a google for how to install them,
teamfsd have some great info on there site,
there are tuts all over the place.

xexmenu is ok but a bit outdated and it never gets updated.

I'll do that, when I jtag'd the machine I used jtag tool to update the dash to 12625 so I guess untill a new dash is out i'm likely to be ok ?

^ Yes, you'll be alright. But its recommended to protect the efuses. Therefore, the sooner you do it, the better.
