NSP Install on SXOS

Sorry... another Noob question lol..

If i transfer an XCI of say mariokart to the sdcard and an NSP of a mariokart update, do i use SX installer to install the NSP file? If so once it's installed do I need to keep the NSP file on my card or can it then be deleted? I understand the XCI file has to remain on the card as that is essentially putting a game cart in

just use nscbuilder to combine the update in the xci.

Yes, after the install og the update you can delete the nsp file
