odd flashing problem

i seam to be able to flash the x3 flashbios onto the xbox but i am unable to flash any other bios onto the xbox

the chip has just been installed so its first flash by dvd-r f**ked up about 25% into it i recovered and put flashbios onto bank 5678 1 meg with the flashbios and wanting to flash from there but it keeps hanging ive tryed it art least 5-6 times now with diffrent bios on a 1.0 xbox

any help

I've had the same problem.

I couldn't flash any bios larger than 256KB. I ended up sending it back for an exchange... If you can't RMA, you should get some functionality from an M8 bios or the evox 1.1 bios...

Let me know if you find a fix. This seems to be very common.

you say very common - always makes me giggle

i see about 20 ppl out of THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS who have no worried.

ive looked at every RMA and each chip i could flash myself in my workroom.

the only common factor is the user not the mod. if you can flash 1 bios you can flash any bios

Spoof question.

Alright so I have 2 xbox's right next to me right now.

They are both Samsungs.

One is an MS28 modded w/ 1.61 although the xbox is banned.


The other xbox is another samsung (never been cracked open so I don't know what kind) so it's not banned obviously. Only thing is, the xbox doesn't read discs.

So I have a few spoof questions since I don't have very much experience with spoofing.

Can I take the modded drive from my xbox and put it in the unbanned, xbox that has a drive that doesn't read discs?

They are both samsungs.

you have to get the key of the read error drive and stick it on the band drive. everything spoofing is covered in the jungleflasher tut

That won't happen since I already disposed of the MS25 in the trash. Don't worry i'm not insane, I backed up everything that drive was worth on my computer safely.

Now my question is....

I flashed my MS28 which had 1.61 on it at the time with the STOCK MS25 firmware, and then flashed that with 1.6 non-stealth.

So basically it shows up on jungleflasher as a MS25 with Non-stealth 1.6.

Then I tested everything and to my dismay, the drive will NOT read backed up games, OR original games. It will not read anything at all.



So what did I do wrong?

What should I do to fix this problem? And i'd also like to add that I clicked the spoof button every time I did something so that the drive key's matched in Jungleflasher.
