Hiya,
I've done around 10 modchip installs, but had a run of bad luck. Hopefully someone can help me with this one, as it's a friend's Xbox and I'd rather not pay for a replacement!
1.6 w/ Xecuter 2.6CE.
I messed up the pinheader install, so I had to remove the pinheader and do a wire solder. Not too bad, all the contacts are in fine. I add the LPC rebuild PCB. Powers up. Does not load FlashBIOS, just goes straight to Microsoft's BIOS, so I can only boot to MS Dash, nothing else. (Had to add back the original HD to set the time.)
- Power LED on the chip is ON, as is the MOD ON light on the external switch. Flash protect is off. No other lights. No frag.
I've resoldered this thing repeatedly, and I'll admit it's not the neatest job in the world, but there's no solder splash that I can find, and all of the solder points LOOK good.
So I'm sure this is probably a solder point, right? Any idea which one? I'd hate to think I wrecked a trace.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
