I'm having some issues with installing a pair of 2.6's in the two xbox's I own. The first is a v1.0, I did a wire install and I tried flashing the bios on bank 1, but got an "Erase Failed" error and booting from bank 1 will now FRAG the box. I did some research and found that there seem to be at least a few other people who've had this problem on v1.0 and I'm guessing I just need to tighten up my connections, but my question for this issue is, if I try again on bank 2 and have the same problem, how do I go about fixing that with both banks FRAGing the xbox?
The second xbox I'm trying to mod is a v1.6. I got a Xapt3r 1.6 and seem to have it installed correctly, I have a blue, green, double orange, and red LED shining steadily when I power on the xbox. However, when I assemble it all up nicely and turn it on, bank 1 FRAGs but the green LED on the little toggle switch board lights up, bank 2 FRAGs and has no LEDs on the toggle board, and booting with the chip disabled works fine and a red LED shows up. Any thoughts on how to diagnose those problems?
