When i put the cap on point A and gnd, the light on the CR no longer turns on. I have waited over 30 seconds and it doesnt boot. When i remove the cap the light Starts flashing again. My boot times are very random, ive had it boot on the first try twice but it took 30+ seconds to boot the rest of the times. I am using the cap included with the CR. I have tried using another cap and flipping the cap over. Any ideas?

The red light or the green light?

Ya, the wiring is the same and the wires are directed in the same areas. It boots without the cap installed.

With the cap only the red light is on, the green one never flashes.

I already have the cpu key, and freeboot flashed. Now im just trying to increase the boot times.

ok - put the cap back and get a 470pF capacitor and put one leg on D and the other to the blue wire.

Just ordered one. Just to be clear, i remove the the wire from point D and put 1 leg onto the point and then solder the wire to the other leg.

Looking at the pictures shouldn't he try to reroute the wires on the bottom of the board?

Edit: not sure if it would cause this to happen just a guess...

I had the same issue when installing the cap on my Jasper 256MB. What i did is I removed the cap and I organized the wires to be just like they are in this guide:

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75787

My boot times went from 30sec. to 5-10 seconds. I hope this works out for you.

Martin, you sure we have to use a 470pf capacitor?

In another post you said to use a 680pf (for the blue wire)

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75045&highlight=jasper+glitch&page=3

You wrote:

"Yep, sure. I had posted it previously but I'll put it again here.

You need 2 x 680pF ceramic capacitors. Voltage is irrelevant but fit reference I used 50V caps.

Put one between CPU_PLL_BYPASS (A) and GND.

For the other, solder one leg to CPU_RST (point D on the coolrunner) and on the other leg, solder the wire from CPU_RST on the board. "

So, should we use a 480pf or 680pf capacitor for the CPU_RST and Point D?

Thanks

he mean put the 470 pf inline on D (not like pll between gnd and A )
D_____470pf______rst
Yes, i know what he meant... However in another post he said to use a 68nf capacitor: D___68nf (0.068uf)___rst

Just want to know which one to use as he said one thing on one post and another in this post.
