Background: Modded 15 or so boxes so far
2.6CE on a 1.2/1.3 xbox, pin header install

Instal went without a hitch, plugged the chip in and got no lights on the chip, ms bios. Switch settings were Enabled: on Flash: Off Bank:1

Redid all solder connections, double checked for shorts anywhere, no burnt traces, so I tried again, same results.

Playing with the switches, I got:

Ms Bios, blue lights on chip, no lights on bank: Enabled: on/off Flash: On Bank: 1/2
MS Bios, no lights on chip: Anything with the flash off...

I really can't understand the problem, but just for the sake of knowing, I pulled my 2.3Pro out of my own xbox, and it works fine (had to change the D0 end to fit the 2.3, but didn't touch the connection on the acual point)...

I'm a bit perplexed. I've contacted my supplier to see what they can do, but being quite proficient in all things electrical, what should I test?

Check out the switch schematic I did if you want to test out the switches with a multimeter. Link in my sig.

I think it's really odd that the blue LED would come on at the chip but no LEDs on at the switch at all. The chip LED and the enable/disable LED come from the same 5v pole on the enable/disable switch. It's just a fork in the trace between them.

Oooh! Unless your ground return from the switch is bad. Then the switch LEDs would not have a complete circuit. That would also indicate why your mod doesn't enable, since the switches need to ground the D0 point. Look at the switch schematic and see what you can do for testing the ground return. My money is on that as the problem.

I soldered a direct ground onto the switch module, plugged it in, and a trace burned on the back of my chip... methinks I should have just warrenteed it right off the bat...
