12v is only needed for DVD Eject and Disc Ripping - as usual.
Granted but will it draw 5v from the USB or will we have to put another 5v supply through the sata power port (weather we use USB for a 5v or another source)

Should have just put this first ea? Lol

So for disc ripping we would still need ie. CK3 PRO to power the drive??

Edit: Just re-read product description, it has sata power connector built-in.

I'm assuming you'd use a USB to Molex cable.

nice.... can't wait to get one
this is in product description... Molex to SATA convertor included if you don’t have a Sata PSU
most likely for when you need that 12v

I think he is asking if there will be a

SATA to USB cord

Like there was a MOLEX to USB cord for the Ck3i
Exactly. That would simplify the connection by using just one cord instead of using USB to MOLEX together with MOLEX to SATA bundled witn X360USB PRO v2 to get 5V power.

That's our product too so not sure what you are asking ?
It's USB to MOLEX Power Cable, but X360USB PRO V2 has SATA power so USB to SATA Power Cable would be great.

Or is it DVD Drive power 5V output on the same line as USB input, so X360USB PRO is connected to Laptop only with one USB cable and we are able to flash e.g. Slim Lite-On drives?
