Is it going to be able to flash just using the usb 5v for the liteon where we don't need 12v
Or will we have to use a USB(5v) to sata power adaptor

12v is only needed for DVD Eject and Disc Ripping - as usual.

Exactly. That would simplify the connection by using just one cord instead of using USB to MOLEX together with MOLEX to SATA bundled witn X360USB PRO v2 to get 5V power.

It's USB to MOLEX Power Cable, but X360USB PRO V2 has SATA power so USB to SATA Power Cable would be great.

Or is it DVD Drive power 5V output on the same line as USB input, so X360USB PRO is connected to Laptop only with one USB cable and we are able to flash e.g. Slim Lite-On drives?
