for the 0800 cfw to no longer be flashed to the dvd drive the 0800 cfw must be incorporated in the x360v2 nand (hence the 1175 0800 isn't ready yet as drive not decrypted yet).
which must mean c4e has worked on the 0500 to create the 0800 cfw for 0500's. does this mean there will be an imminant release of 0500 0800 cfw and liteon slim 0800 cfw? and LT+3.0 for slim 0500 ? my intuition says yes.
looks like 2 weeks 3 days there's going to be an explosion of releases.

no so can somebody answer the 12v and 5v question??? will this device support both or would i have to buy some other device with the usbpro2 for 12v?

It has a Sata connection when 12v is needed for ejecting the drive, 5v Usb for just flashing the drive...

If I only need 5v to flash my DVD drive do I need to plug 5v to the sata power or will it draw the 5v from the USB witch sends data to and from the unit also

I think you are going to need a 5v supply extra weather that be USB to sata cable or 5v from another source
Note.
If this is the case I will take the USB that also sends data to and from and wire it so it takes it's 5v from there add a couple of diodes for protection just like my cool runner led mod

easy solved if you just use the power connection that you currently would use for your CK3i, pro etc...ie molex adapter
not talking about a USB either .Use your standard molex power adapter, that you would use to power your 0800 drive, or your CK3 power adapter, with the included molex to sata converter ! (Molex to SATA convertor included if you don’t have a Sata PSU) stated in the power features description in post #1
