Don't take it personal but I put saving a wire or USB port plus neither of those are going to look good suck to my laptop
I'm not taking it personally, Didn't realize you had a laptop, -->USB HUB<-- I have this and it works just fine.

for the 0800 cfw to no longer be flashed to the dvd drive the 0800 cfw must be incorporated in the x360v2 nand (hence the 1175 0800 isn't ready yet as drive not decrypted yet).

which must mean c4e has worked on the 0500 to create the 0800 cfw for 0500's. does this mean there will be an imminant release of 0500 0800 cfw and liteon slim 0800 cfw? and LT+3.0 for slim 0500 ? my intuition says yes.

looks like 2 weeks 3 days there's going to be an explosion of releases.
All incorrect im afraid

Xecuter has found a way to bypass the need for 0800 fw or any cfw at all for having the drive recognize in windows. It's pretty clever stuff and was not cheap to have designed.

1175 Drive detects in Windows and shows up as a drive letter just fine - we are just waiting for new auth commands to be integrated into the new upcoming XBC. The Hitachi 0500 was quite easy to do - the Liteon 1175 is a little trickier - but can be added easily once its ready.

are the drivers built in? that would be the icing for me if it was
is it that difficult to install the windows drivers ? :p

to be fair i'd say the Ripping feature was the icing on the cake

---------- Post added at 05:58 ---------- Previous post was at 05:55 ----------

no so can somebody answer the 12v and 5v question??? will this device support both or would i have to buy some other device with the usbpro2 for 12v?
The X360USB PRO 2 is powered by a 12v SATA PSU socket. A SATA to MOLEX PSU Adapter is included for all those who currently use a MOLEX PSU. If you want to use our USB to MOLEX 5v cable - then use it ! (of course you get no eject and no drive ripping features if you use this as there is not enough power)

I don't understand where the confusion is ?

wow. who worked on that what a genious.
Team Xecuter is pretty smart. I'm glad someone got the memo :p

In theory. Could this open up new avenues for unlocking slim drives? Maybe soft unlocks?

you cant use same usb line for both data and power - it would drain all the power as X360USB PRO on its own uses quite a lot of juice
What about a Y power splitter like what some portable hard drives use where two USB leads connects to the one USB input giving double the power?

I'm sorry but I really don't understand your question. if you use a splitter then you still only get 10v and you would also need a powered hub - so i don't see the point in your question ?

I've already made it clear as to what power options you have. I have no idea where your confusion is - sorry

it's common sense that if you combine two 5volt line into one you magicly get a 5volt and a 12volt line in one! :D

You get the cables they draw 5v but let you draw more current through a USB but it still takes two USB ports a little tidy but not really the same

Am sure we will all play when we get em

If it isn't possible to use only one USB cable to power the DVD drive PCB (i know no ripping or eject function), will be new USB to SATA power cable alternative to USB to MOLEX? I know we can use USB to MOLEX power cable + MOLEX to SATA convertor, but it would be sweet only USB to SATA cable :)

Exactly you still get 5v but instead of being able to only draw 500mA you can draw double that so it would have enough power to both power the x360 usb and power for the drive to flash.

I think all the confusion relating to 5V/12V was about if the 5V power could be gained from the same USB port used for data connection that you clearly clarified is not possible.

In addition, in case they don't have an external PSU at all, then the 5V power could be gained from another USB port. The question was if there will be USB to SATA power connector cable available as there is USB to MOLEX (5V) on the market now. This way they could save one cable, because at the moment gaining 5V from an USB require using of USB to MOLEX cable + MOLEX to SATA converter.

It's kinda difficult when we all don't use the same native language

SO with this I don't need any extra hardware so flash slim drives with latest dash? Don' t need to open up the drive up and solder anything to it?

hope the above is true
C'mon, read more about single products and their usage. This product does not replace the needs of usage one of available methods for flashing the slim drives.

So you want a USB to SATA 5v Power Cable so you dont have to use the Sata to Molex cable that already comes with the X360USB PRO 2 ?

I guess we could make one - i don't really see the point though ?

I power my CK3 with this cable http://www.xconsoles.com/products/Xecuter-USB-to-MOLEX-5V-Power-Cable.html to flash the drives where is not needed eject function. If i want power X360USB PRO V2 the same way i will have to use this cable and SATA to MOLEX converter that comes with X360USB PRO V2. And my question is if will be only USB to SATA 5V power cable so we can use only one cable instead of these two together?
