you would get black screen or e79, sounds like yours is gpu rrod onset

Depending on what smc, the result of a wrong one will vary from either not powering on at all to freezing once the dash has loaded.

i know what you mean martin BUT the smc for xenons is correct in jtag tool so i dont see that being his issue.

What happens is the dash comes up and is usable for a short while then freezes. I know that in JTAG Tool you need to manually choose the SMC everytime even if you just want the "original" one. I remember i never did this on this console so i got a message saying something like that it couldn't find a hacked SMC when i wrote Xell. At the time i didn't really know what the problem was so i didn't care as Xell booted like it should. After this i just wrote Freeboot.

That is why i'm curious about what's the culprit here.

iv fixed bug about the "couldn't find a hacked SMC "
just for now go to options. and manually select smc from dropdown each time..

Anyone tested this with a HDMI console so far? I tried this on my Zephyr with alternate smc points after I dumped my working freeboot and used as a source but only get a black screen? xell boots fine though !!!

Yes Buddy tested it last night on a Falcon normal smc points before i updated my Tut all was good with that have no Zephyr to test atm ..

Did the console you test it on have any bad blocks and did you use your original 7371 nand dump as a source or did you just dump 12611 dash and re-use that?

Also I'm wondering if a patched nand with dashlaunch will have any issues or it doesn't matter?

One bad block didn't bother remap it no point really so i used the original 7371 nand dump and made it fb flashed it with flash360.
A patched nand with dashlaunch i'd assume would have issues buddy as DL 2.10 dont work on it, latest one out now is dash_launch_v2.11_for_12625 .

Alright, thanks bud. I've reflashed the original dump and it's now back to live onto 12611 that was patched and even loaded my FSD once it's booted.

I'll try the next the unpatched 12611 or the 9199 that I I used as a source to create the 12611.

EDIT: Ok, I tried with both original 7371 dump and freeboot 9199 dump but still just keep getting black screen. I selected the Aduio_clamp & DVD_tray from the smc drop down menu. Xell boots but no freeboot!!! no bad blocks present including the original NAND dump!!!!

And I have the answer now. It seems the ibuild that incoperated into Jtag tool does not support Zephyr motherboards ...

I bet cool didn't test this on all types of boards ... After testing every possible option and combination along with a bit of research via google it worked on all my Falcons but not the Zephyrs. Appearntly there more than one type of the same version of ibuild out there. some support Jaspers only, some support Jaspers and Falcons and some support all boards.

Cool if you reading this, you might as well start working on your next release and fix this .
