At first I wired up my Zephyr using the transistor wiring but I noticed there was no option for AUD_CLAMP ONLY (as in previous versions of the program). So I re-wired the whole thing using the AUD_CLAM and DVD_Tray points. This isn't working so well for me.
i did the transistor wiring but used the original ROL (actually ROL point on the under side of the board) and DB1F1 points (same as the diode method) made a dash 9199 freeboot and worked every time.... well until i wet to take the X-clamps off and my tool slipped and knocked off 3 of those little square things under the left ( if lookin at the top side of the board front of board towards you, i think its the GPU with the 2 square silver surfaces) chip bridged than i got RROD bridged those and still got RROD need to seek professional help with that board now :/ , hopeing is something Xmods can fix

to be more exact it square thingy part #'s C4R5 C4R7 and a smaller green one labeled below it R4R3

luckily i just bought 2 RROD systems how ever that i know 1 i JTAG'able (dumped the NAND and its a xenon) and still need to check the CB # on the new zephyr but its MFG date is 07 and the dash is also the right kernal

hell the xenon has been RROD for so long it has the 1st dash on it still (the one before the advatars) :D i just tossed them in the oven for about 10 min (before the capacitors started to dome up) pulled em out put syncs back on and they started back up, wont be able to actually use them until get a 5pk of team xecuter RROD II repair kit's tho because obviously the X-clamps will just cause another RROD and lets face it throwing the board in the oven is not much diffrent that following the team xecuter directions for there "baking process" 4other than the fact there baking process heats only the chips the oven heats all components (potentially a hazard if not cautious) but just for sh*ts and giggles i will probably follow the "baking" process instruction also a lil extra heat on the CPU/GPU to reflow the break (especially proven working methods) never hurt any thing.

Thanks korn_16_f_t_l.

I have been fixing Xbox 360s for a while and can do reflows and reballs quite well - so normal RRoD issues aren't a problem for me. If you knocked off a component, I wouldn't suggest bridging the gap where the component was, it could just cause more damage when you go to boot it up.

I've always had RRoD issues when using the RoL board point with Zephyr consoles so I don't want to use that point anymore.

I will just use Jtag Tool to create a normal SMC (original points) then find a way to patch it to use the Aud_Clamp point.

Maybe a stupid question but should I get identical bin files every time? I am running Win7x64 on zephyr and good nand dump. When I use a hex compare or nand compare tab in JT 3.0 two 12625 nor two 12611 bins are ever identical. I started with 25 and made two fb bins form the same nand backup but they are not identical. So I made two more 25 and they were different again. Just to check I stepped down to 11 and did it all over again; they are all different as well. Should they be the same? Thanks

I'd worry more about what your Orignal nand dumps are saying when you compare them against each other have you tried that one ?
If the nand dumps are spot on then the FB bins you made are fine to use i don't get why you are comparing FB bins after making them...

This has been answered before...

Anyways, everytime you make a freeboot image, it will be different, no matter what you do. Its just the way freeboot image is generated. But, they all will be of the same size, and all of them would work without any problem.

What possibly cause the jtag tool exception error and access denied messages even when ran as an admin?

Tried two different computers, tried different versions. Seem to occur with versions of 2.65 and above !!!

Can someone tell me what the DVD On/Off represents in JTAG Tool 3.00? Does it disable the DVD Drive itself or does it prevent it from opening when you start the jtagged xbox?
It is for xboxs with no dvd drive,so that when they are turned on they will not always boot into xell.

Thanks for the info. I am currently tagging a Zypher and more or less done. At first I did the regular wiring method but kept getting E79's so I went to the alternative AUD_CLAMP and DVD_TRAY method however the DVD opens on every power up and I find it a bit annoying to be honest. I read somewhere that the DVD_TRAY wiring should prevent this or ???

I would appreciate some info regarding this, thanks.

EDIT: Oh yeah, what is the option "Check For Updates" in JTAG Tool for?

I installed JtagTool 3.13 (Virtual Win XP VM Ware) during the creation of the new freeboot the program has now closed and will not restart anymore.
I reinstalled the program but the problem persists. If I install it on Win 7 is not no finding problem...
