Same question...Coolshrimp, I'm bit confused. Does v2.20 uses only audio_clamp for alternate or is audio_clamp & open_tray too?
Same question...Coolshrimp, I'm bit confused. Does v2.20 uses only audio_clamp for alternate or is audio_clamp & open_tray too?
What?Coolshrimp v2.20 used to get cpu -dvd keys writing freeboot to nand updating dash
with jtag, Grate Tool !!!
audio_clamp for alternate or is audio_clamp & open_tray dont matter, you are writing strate
to the nand, no need for, usb flash drive or cd to update your xbox
There are more than one patch, however the common one that everyone has been using lately are the audio_clamp & open_tray. So far your tool, Easy freeboot and pig Tool all seem to use only the Audio_clamp.i dono is there diffrent paches to only use one or both?
i was unaware..
Jtag tool 2.20 dose create a freeboot image..go get( Best pig freeBoot ToolBox 0.04 maker v2.5 rev2 ) to make your dash update
then you can use Coolshrimp v2.20 or usb drive cd to update your xbox
Coolshrimp v2.20 dose not make dash update it just writes them to the nand
I know create a freeboot imageJtag tool 2.20 dose create a freeboot image..
What are you taking about?
yes thats what he is saying .I know create a freeboot image
so your saying it dose creates 12611 dash update
I think your right M its a bit crazy having it there if it does not suit all boards with alternate SMC configurations did i hear you say you will make new SMC files for all motherboards with alternate SMC configuration using SMC Utility v1.1...To be sure, the best thing that can be done now is to make new SMC files for all motherboards with alternate SMC configuration using SMC Utility v1.1 and ask coolshrimp to integrate them into his next version of Jtag Tool.
Well, I might...If coolshrimp agrees with using them in the next version of Jtag ToolI think your right M its a bit crazy having it there if it does not suit all boards with alternate SMC configurations did i hear you say you will make new SMC files for all motherboards with alternate SMC configuration using SMC Utility v1.1...![]()
Well, I might...If coolshrimp agrees with using them in the next version of Jtag Tool![]()
Or coolshrimp could just use the ones made by manwithoutname earlier using the older version of SMC Utility...That seems reasonable enough i think ...
No SMC patch was ever created for Xenon consoles except the default one, therefore, you only have the option to use the default SMC and Jtag points.5 QUESTIONS PLEASE:
I thought "AUD_CLAMP SMC" modification and alternative JTAG wiring was ONLY for the Zephyrs and newer consoles and not really required for the older XENONs, if you want to avoid quirky E79/RRODs when you run XELL the first time.
1) Is it still needed with first generation XENON consoles?
my guess is probably no.
2) Does XELL support yet HDMI so we can avoid using AV/composite cables to get our 16 byte CPU keys from combining lines 3+5?
3) Does this new version of JTAG Tool v2.20 still require the AUD_CLAMP SMC jtag wiring initially for XELL to load properly and if so for which consoles EXACTLY?
I suspect that option is ONLY for ZEPHYRs and newer consoles to avoid quirkyness with XELL and does not apply to older XENONs, but also you guys are now saying CoolShrimp forgot or deliberately avoided incorporating the properly patched SMC files for proper XELL initial loading. This seems like a very unclear decision on his part, and I cant test it myself since I ONLY have exploitable XENONS to play with.
(BTW that AUD_CLAMP SMC option its barely recognizable due to the very light blue font color selected)
Incidently,
4) Which is the better permanent XENON JTAG wiring installation after we dump the 16mb Hynix TSOP/nand and reflash it with Freeboot12611?
which is better: The 3 resistor (330 ohm) or the 2 diode method for these XENONs in a 12611 kernel environment? Are the 1N914 or 1N4148 switching diodes still the best ones to use now on these XENONs?
lastly:
5) Does this version of Freeboot12611 that is created by JTAG tool v2.20 have "on-line" mutiplayer turned on or supported?
my guess is yes, since I know CoolShrimp has wanted to include that in the past.
