Thanks, M AzzeM K, for the confirmation on freeboot.

I figured that it would work but even in the 0.32-release there's a note in the readme-file that it would only work on 2 NANDs.

As for the resistors - well, I must admit - a simple google query solved that question.
But thanks for the link - the pics from there were much better than the blurry ones I found.

I did 2 JTAG hacks yesterday and - except for a glitch in JTAG Tool on the Jasper 16 MB - everything worked nicely.

The NAND-X sure is a very good purchase. I can't imagine waiting 30 mins or more for an image dump via LPT...

Not to second guess you as I am not an expert. But this is silver and I will be using a simple 15W iron. Don't I need something with lead, like this:

If you have seen how small the points on the QSBs are, you would not have asked this question.

See this picture below:

The one you posted the link to, is the most right one, yes, the 0.062" one. While the points on the QSB need the one on the most left, the 0.015" one, or the closest you can get to this size.

Now, since the 0.015" does not come in a flux cored variant(because of its small diameter), Xmods said to use flux, because it is needed and you have to use it separately.

Also, the solder to the you posted the link to is "Lead Solder". For soldering NAND-X, it is recommended you use a "Silver" based solder, just like Xmods said, because it has better conductivity than Lead solder and also forms much stronger joint and is more resistant to heat as compared to Lead Solder.

Ineed to do all Jtag stuff or i can only read the Nand for get my DVDkey?
I mean all soldering and stuff?
Or simply install the read pins and read for get the DVDkey? Thanx Guys
