FIXED Ok, trying to install R-JTAG 1.1 on Zephyr

Dashboard version: e.g 2.0.16203
CB version: e.g 4569
Was the console working before you started: Y (still works if I unsolder +5v from R-JTAG and upload stock image)

Description of problem:

As RGH2 doesn't work on Zephyr I decided to try R-JTAG. This is my first install of R-JTAG, but I've done a lot of RGH1/2.
See the log with the default voltage or 1.8V below.
with 1.2V consoles shuts down with RRoD 0010
Green LED blinks kind of strange. There is no consistancy in its duration, sometimes it blinks fast several times in one glitch cycle. Is it normal ?

Any suggestions accepted.

Yeah, I've read that Zephyrs suck and that DIPs 7 and 8 are both on. Updated my first post.
Do you understand my rater log ? Does it say anything ?

There was a typo in the new 1.1 announcement. Setting for new zephyr is 7-8 OFF OFF, basically the opposite of jasper. Please try this setting. Thanks

I changed DIP 7,8 to off, now with DIP3 on there is some progress, it passes POST 20, but stops on POST 2E. More suggestions ?

Ok now time to check your jtag qsb.

Its glitching but jtag isnt booting console..

Try dip 4 or dip 2 also.


Does it constantly stop at 2E?
Yes, 2E constantly
tried 2 and 4, but 3 is the best, it always passes up to 2E

1. Try different voltages
2. Try Falcon NAND/CB
3. Reflow the CPU
1. with 1.2V rater shows too many errors and console shuts down with RRoD 0010. 1.8V is the same as default.
2. With Falcon file everything is exactly the same as with Zephyr
3. I reballed GPU on this console, stock nand boots and plays games perfectly.

Similar issue as you but I can't get to 2E with my 4569_CB Zephyr. I have the best non-boot time with DIP 6. (it still doesn't boot but it takes longest to RROD with only DIP 6 on.)

Stock Nand boots just fine, which is good...

Are you trying fw v1.1 ?
I don't have RRoD on default voltage. It just goes in cycles up to 2E indefinitely.

It doesn't matter what stock does.

Plus, i said reflow the CPU, not the GPU.
