old and new adapter

i got an old phat xb360 power adapter. i have a new xb360 slim power adapter but it keeps cutting off. Is there anyway i can cut the connector that goes into the 360 slim off and solder it on the old xbox 360 adapter?

The brick on the new skim adapter goes red and shuts off

U r using a phat Brick with the phat to slim power adapter correct?

ok. THIS proves you can do it but they are out of stock ATM. if you google it im sure there is a guide somewhere. you just keep all the colors the same i think but i would use a multimeter to make sure.

no ally i think he wants to cut the end off the slim brick and splice it in to the phat brick... The cheap route...
