Old dashboard nand on new dashboard console

When dashboard version 2.0.14699.0 came out I got a AP25 flag on my console. Not knowing about the LDV then, I flashed my 2.0.12625.0 clean nand over the 2.0.14699.0 nand, thinking it would remove the flag. As expected, my console no longer boots up. (error code:0022)

Back then, I was told that to fix my problem, I had to get CR, boot into xell, get my CPU key, then build a retail nand. That of course, was almost a year ago.

Since it's been almost a year now, I am wondering if there is a easier way to fix my problem. If not could someone give me a list of hardware or guides I should use to fix my Xbox. I would be much appreciated!

The method hasn't changed. You need a NAND-x, Coolrunner and NAND-x to Coolrunner update cable. Follow any of the RGH guides to get your CPU key and use this with your 14699 NAND to build a Retail image based on the LDV you get from XeLL.

Read my LDV sticky for more info.

Okay I've read your guide on LDV. Just to confirm, I should still be able to build the retail nand with my 12625 dump, despite the fact I do not have a 14699 nand dump correct?

Take your nand - create ECC - flash CR - Install CR - Boot Xell - Get LDV - Use LDV/CPU key to build new retail

Or better yet leave as RGH and create freeboot - assuming its not a xenon

Yes, that's correct. You can build a 14699 retail with the files you have.

Okay so I installed CR, booted into Xell and got my CPU key + LDV number. I created a retail 14699 Dash and booted into that fine. Then I tried to create a glitch 14699 Dash, but I cannot boot into that and after a while I get 3 red rings.

Okay I built another glitched dash with the retail dash I build from CPU key and Nand dump. Now I do not get RRoD but my console is not glitching either. I booted into Xell in 2 seconds. What could be the reason that my console does not glitch?

Did you create a glitch nand from the new retail image that boots or from the old one that did not boot? Try both if not already done that.

I created the glitch Nand from the newly built retail Nand. I just tried with my old dump Nand. It does not work either. I hear that Jaspers are prone to how the wiring goes. Which wires cause the most problems?

Hmm... I created a 15574 glitch dash and it booted into that instantly. Could someone explain why I could not boot to a glitched 14699 dash?

Late response but it mostly can come down to the CPU_RST position. It's subject to interference and really tends to decide what happens with booting.
