ok...ive spent pretty much the entire friggin day trying to get everything working right....I have a version 1.0 xbox, running 2.6 xecuter chip, running xecuter 5032 bios, running evox dash. Took my evox files put them in E drive, moved everything where it should go to prevent getting caught by xbox live...(hiding illegal files) HOWEVER....when i try to log onto xbox live, with chip off, via Halo 2. It cannot verify my IP address. This confuses me seeing as i have not altered my IP address for the xbox in configuration files, and it has worked before, with the chip still installed, but turned off. Please tell me, what the F**K is going on!

Check your M$ dash settings...

when you run the 5032 Bios... it could be one setting and when you run the M$ bios and dash it could be another.

Makes sense anyway;)

yeah that is the problem. when you go into M$ dash with the chip off go into settings and then go into network and set your ip to automatic and your dns servers to automatic. This has happened to me and that is what i did to get back on to xbox live. Hope it helps you out.

Yeah, just make sure everything is set to Automatic. That is the only thing I can see being wrong.

Yeah, make sure your stuff is set to automatic. And also, your being way to paranoid about where you files are and what not. I have all my dashboards on my C drive, and all my apps and emulators on the E drive, so if m$ was checking what everyone had on their hard drives i would have been banned a looooooooooooooooooong time ago.

i can't beleive ppl stil think it's possible to get banned by having illegal files/folders on their hdd. As long as your booting with stock bios and a properly matched eeprom/hdd, you won't get banned. This is just a networking issue which has absolutely NOTHING to do with x3 or any type of mod.

I heard that the xbox will send out how much power it's using and they can tell that you have a bigger hard drive because it takes more power to run... It was on microsoft.com!!

(play along... it's fun!)

Anywho... check your network like most of us said...

yeah but that is becuase the game hadnt come out and so specific checks were done, however unless you have hacked gamesaves such a PGR2 then you wont get banned for having foreign files on your hard drive. My C and E is full of dashboards etc...
