It would be cool if you could configure one of the buttons on a game pad to be able turn it on or off same as the switch on the xbox.

hasn't that been done before??? i saw it on tech tv, and they have a tutorial for the remote version on xbox scene...

but on tech tv, yoshi or w.e. his name is, took a wireless one, and where it had the companys logo (or where it has the big x on a reg controllers) took that part out, fitted a switch and trnasmitter, and now that logo is the on/off switch....

so it has been done

I agree totally. Maybe the good folks at Team Xecuter could make another version of the ProSwitch so that it incorporates an IR receiver that can turn your Xbox on and off. I guess the ProSwitch would have to tap in directly to the ON/OFF switch on the board. Anyways, that would be something I would definately buy.

C'mon guys, this is one of the most requested features for the Xbox. I know you talented guys at TX can come up with a hardware mod like that and put your own spin on it. Incorporate it with your ProSwitch and maybe an extra USB port. That would be truly awesome! I'm not sure what the technical limitations and obstacles would be, but the good guys at TX should definately give some serious thought to this.

I wondered if the DVD remote could do it but Ididnt see any buttons for on / off on it, buty i am guessing they could use that existing usb receiver.

I also noticed that the ethernet port is always active, even when powered off ( like wake up on lan ). Maybe that could be set or triggered to wake up the xbox.

We realy ONLY need an ON button as it can be shutdown from the controller now.

Its called XIR, GreenGiant develops it and you can find it by doing a google search! It will allow you to turn you xbox on and off with your dvd remote. I have it and it works PERFECTLY

HELP liteon 83850C- flashed with LT need to update

Hi
can anyone give me a workaround to this problem please??

I have a Liteon 83850C drive with ixtreme LT on it. I want to update to LTPlus1.1. I know how to flash as i have done a few drives now.

My problem is that i do not have the DVD key from when drive was flashed with LT. IS the MRA hack THE only way to get the key and reflash?

will the follwoing work?

1. I have original stock fw of liteon 83850c ( not from this drive but downloaded of internet)- can i load this stock fw onto my drive and return it to stock then flash ? if so how?

2. what if i do not bother with dvd key - can just load/flash with ltPLus straight up?

thanks in advance for any help.

Re: HELP liteon 83850C- flashed with LT need to update

WHOAH!

Do NOT flash anything to it UNTIL you have a valid Key from that drive! (unless you wish to turn the xbox into a DVD player!)

2 options here!

1) If You used Jungleflasher to flash the drive previously on the same PC (without having carried out a reformat of PC) - connect it to the PC select the correct port (ensure it shows in Jungleflasher) then try 'dummy from KeyDb' (this searches your registry entries for previous dumps and tests each one against the drive itself - if it finds a good key it will create a new dummy.bin for you!) then follow JF Tutorial from there.

2) MRA the drive

Re: HELP liteon 83850C- flashed with LT need to update

Hi
Thanks for prompt reply!.
i haven't flashed it yet. all i ahve done is tried to retrieve the key using jf and dummy from ixtreme method also the l83info method- no luck with both.
i did try dummy from keydb, but the problem is that i did not originally flash it , it was done by someone else on another pc - i've asked the guy for key but he said he hasnt got it. and he doesnt't where the pc is (long story).

dont really want to do MRA..so am looking for any work arounds..

thanks again.

there are none left available to you now! MRA is the ONLY way left available to you
