Well I'm having a lot of problems with Flashing.. Originally I tried doing a Flash via CD and the Xbox didn't accept the disc.. so I wanted to flash it via DVD but my friends DVD writer is DVD+r.. and my computer is DVD-+RW but my video card just sh*t a ***** so I need to buy another one before I can do anything with my computer... So I tried to connect Via crossover cable and the network card on the computer says that I have a connection with the xbox but when I do a command prompt netstat -n.. I get nothing.. it says that I don't have any connections open

before connecting to my xbox via crossover cable I've been going to my network card and right clicking it and then going to TCP/IP and typing in 192.168.0.1

and i've tried connecting via HTTP: using both 192.168.0.99/and all different end numbers upto 99..l also tried using the password setting.. if anybody here has any advice they can offer me to help me flash it I would greatly appreciate it

on another note I've used all the tutorials and followed everything to a T

In your network card tcp/ip properties, make your settings as follows and see if it works:
Static IP
IP 192.168.0.13
Subnet Mask 255.255.225.0
Gateway 0.0.0.0

The IP can be anything you want as long as it's in this range, i just chose .13 because it's unliekly anything else will be using that number.

Then type http://192.168.0.99 in your browser after the xbox drops back to static ip on your tv screen.

What do you mean after my xbox drops back to static ip on my TV screen? will the xbox say that i've connected to it?

I mean, when you press A on http on yoru xbox, it will think/try to connect to dhcp, if it can't (which in your case it can't) it say "falling back to ip.... yada yada yada"

works for me

xbox 192.168.0.2 set in evox 3935 under settings
default gateway 255.255.255.0
sub net 192.168.1.1

set pc to ( in the tcip )
pc 192.168.0.what ever you like
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1

you will have to restart your system after you make changes to the tcip but thats it your done.
flash fxp is a good ftp program for file transfer's between pc and xbox.
hope this is any use to you
