I have a xbox v1.5 and have just installed the X3. I have flashed it with the newest BIOS(1959) and installed a bigger harddrive. Everyting works fine except that I only can boot with the chip enabled. If i press and hold the power button or press both the power and eject button, it boots with the chip enabled(The external control panel lits up blue). Does anyone know what this is? Does this problem come from bad soldering? Please Help.

That's more than likely going to be one of two things. Either a bad solder to the D0 spot, or you have the power/eject pcb installed wrong/not installed.

Yup
Go back crack her open and look again, I'm thinking your D0 is more likely a do not

I found the problem. I forgot to install the red wire between the X3 and the power/eject pcb. :) Now everything works fine. Thanks for the help.
