Only one LED on X3, help (NEW QUESTION)

Hi, btw im a noob

I have installed my new X3 on my 1.6 xbox, i have also installed the rebuild pcb.

I have no X light on the front, the Light closest to the front of the box (5v i think) is lit, but the back one is not. I have checked my soldering around pin 15, and redone it and it looks fine.

BTW the box still starts up as normal with the MS dash.

Any help is appreciated (apologies if this has been posted before I searched but the only solution i could find was check pin 15.)

try soldering the pin 15 wire to pin 9

also check ground and and d0 as it should be booting to lpc not ms dash

sorry, i'm pretty new to all this, i have used the pinheader method so have no wire. and which pin is the ground?

hi i have the same problem with my xbox 1.4. exactly the same as you.

make sure top pin on header is soldered correctly i have had similar probs and it was that pin at fault

also check that all the pinheader pins are level...

what do you mean by "one lvl" ? some (maybe 1 or 2 ....maybe 3) of the pins from my pinheader are ca. 0.2-0.9 mm "unleveled" . could that be the problem ?

Right,

I have desoldered everything, removed it and put it back (using the wire rebuild method). I now have 2 blue LED's on the chip itself, and it's fragging.

I have the correct voltage from pins 2,7,8,10,11, and 15.

I know I should have readings for pins 1,5 and 9.

My plan is to desolder these 3, clean em all up and resolder them tomorrow.

My questions is should there be a reading for pins 13 and 14, and since its a 1.6 xbox should there be one for pin 3? (I read somewhere that xboxs 1.3+ dont have it)
