open tray error 0225 lt 3.0 bad sata i think

Hi all I've been flashing drives for quite some some time
This one has me puzzled
I kamikazeed the drive flashed it went smoothly
But I get open tray error all the time caused by bad data I think because if I don't touch anything the laser lights up bright unless I press the data lead down on the back of the drive firmly then I see the laser dim and then the drive spins up and the games then work I can video this if needed

My immediate thought was sata connection is not making connection properly so I used multi meter and everything is making contact with all seven pins

Any thoughts?

EDIT: Nevermind. You say games read when pressing down on what exactly? A video would be great and or pictures but being a kamakazi hack you may have damaged something internally.

this may not be your particular issue but had same problem recently - had to replace the laser.. would work sometimes, then got to the point of always being open tray no matter what i did.

sorry bout kids lol
you will see when i press firmly at the rear of the drive on the sata connection the games work
notice i press it down then release you will see laser lens increase voltage and decrease

That looks like a sata port or cable problem try using a different cable if that doesn't sort it out check the sata port inside the drive it may have a cold solder joint.
