Open Tray Error

Hello everybody, i recently tried to update my flash on my modded xbox [Phat Liteon- DG-16d2s fw: 7480C] after some time of paying someone to do it. The flashing portion was relatively simple, at one point in jungleflasher there was a period where it would no longer read my drive but I was able to find a guide to get through that. To my disappointment and frustration when I tried to test out if the flash had worked I was getting the dreaded open tray error. So I opened the xbox back up made sure everything was plugged in and reflashed back to stock. After multiple tries I figured that my laser had busted as I had left it plugged in during the flashing processes. My brother has an older xbox that he lost the power cord to but was still a lite-on drive so I switched out the laser with his. I believe it is working because when i plug in the drive with out the casing I can see the laser fire up in preparation for to read the disk. The open tray problem persisted, so I made a post on here and they suggested putting the rubberband in boiling water, which unfortunately didn't work, so I dug around my tools and found a multimeter and tried a pot tweak. I brought it from ~6 OHMS to 3.06 OHMS, trying every .25 in between those two numbers. Right now in its current state It reads disks for ~30-45 seconds before giving the open tray error. I'm afraid to lower it anymore because I don't want the laser to pop. Right no I am at a loss for what to do as I'm not sure if the problem is I've flashing wrong the whole time or both lasers just happened to go out at the same time. The reason I did not post this on my old post was because a few weeks have passed and I realized i left out some potentially important info.
attached below is on of my jf logs

As always, open tray is a hardware issue, not firmware. So something is wrong with the drive.

Laser, worm gear, spindle. Take your pick.

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.
