LITEON 0225 Open Tray Error

Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a slim with a 0225 liteon and also a TX unlock PCB and paraphernalia to flash such.

I installed the drivers, updated my USB Pro to V18, downloaded jungle flasher V1.87.

I believe I successfully obtained my drive keys as I got 'the key has been tested and verified, thanx C4eva' message.

I installed the replacement PCB and flashed the drive. Here's where I think I made a mistake, cos I connected the cables and ribbons up before I flashed it.

upon testing before reassembling the console I got an 'open tray' error on my originals - didn't test backups cos I aint made any yet. I reflashed to 'stock' and still the same.

Have I farooked my laser? what else might be wrong?

if u r using the TX PCB, then double check the connections (wires) and make sure there is nothing that has been pinched or shorted....
also - did u get a FULL dump of the original fw

Thanks for the reply.

I followed Ubergeeks guide to get a dummy.bin
(The guide doesn't mention disconnecting the laser ribbon, I read it in another post in the forums after searching for open tray error.)
I have double checked the connections and they appear to be correct and there is no pinching afaict.

I saved the one for flashing to LT+1.92, I pretty sure I cancelled the one when I flashed it back.
I'm working away from the lappy I used to do the flashing, but will post later tonight.

No I checked when I dismantled the drive, it was definitely 0225.

check again. If your laber is 9540 but FW is 0225 you must flash 1.9u Not 1.9. But i think that's pcb problem. I got 2 with that error and then i need to exchange.Just check again just 4 sure before exchange :D

so weres your jf writeing log.looks like you aint wrote cfw to your drive bud.hence the no playin on back ups:rolleyes2:

Is the community of the opinion that my issue it is a faulty TX Board? Are there any further suggestions before I contact the reseller for a replacement?
