SAMSUNG MS28 opening????????????

Ok so i had a ms28 refurbed drive put into a phat, i dumped the fw, put in xbox updated to latest dash, took out and flashed with LT2.01 , i then put back into the console and switched on, as soon as i did the tray opened and the centre light is just flashing ive tried switching off and on with originals and back ups in to no avail.
Even when i switch the console off it wont stay closed, so its open when switched off.
Then When its switched on and the dash is on screen it just says opening.
Ive tried flashing back to stock but this ,makes no difference.
Ive read from the few posts regarding sammys that it could be laser related??
If so should i try get a refund from the place i got it from ( mod traders) ?

Are you sure nothing is physically keeping the drive from closing? Maybe the case is misalligned or somethings blocking it?

If the warranty/void sticker on the dvd drive is broken then take the casing off the drive and give it a clean. If not then contact mod traders and see what they can do. When cleaning be carefull not to touch the lens. Have you tried closing the tray using the controller?

Iv got 2 ms-28's doing the exact same thing. Im thinking its the laser ribbon as i only have 1 ribbon and have tried it on both drives, both ejecting the same yours. If you have a spare one lying about give it a try. Im waiting for some to come in the post, il post my results when they arrive if you dont get it sorted :)

Cheers for the replys, took the lid off the drive and everything seems to be ok, i then hooked up to my ck and pressed eject and he popped out , pressed again he popped back in no problem.
Plugged into xbox and out he pops, im gonna upload a short vid just t show you, it might help????

Sorry i misread your post lol, have you tried flashing back to stock see if the same thing happens? was it working fine before flashing?

yeah, i flashed back to stock, no joy , then back to lt again and still the same , stumped

Im thinking it must be the drive as ive a friends sammy here too and i plugged his drive into the console and its fine, and i did it vice versa into his with the sh*tty ejecter one and its the same, ill probably just get in touch with mod traders and see can i send it back to them , i dont wanna start fiddling inside the drive just incase i damage it and dont get a replacement from them .
