Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

Did you try what XxLittleTxX tried?
I had this issue and here's how I resolved it. Reinstalled drivers and then refilled out all info again. Selected a different comport that was in use hit start. Gave me an error asking if I really wanted to do this and it might screw it up. I clicked no. Then went back to my comport the ck3 was on power to ck3 was off turned it on start right away. Failed clicked ok got pissed mind you it's been 6 hours. So then I hit start and ok in rapid succession. And it went.
Rev d with line
Laptop.

99.9% of issues seem to be with people using the CK3 Pro Rev D and it seems to be it is usually down to the wire mod - as for people who have tried with a ck3i I'm unsure - are you guys using an official update cable?
Yes sir, brand new cable,ck3i and nand-x:frown:

Same here. One newer rev d, and an older non-rev d. I am using the officials update cable I ordered from xconsoles, along with and with the jumper wire soldered in on both units.
I'm guessing its a computer issue on my end, but I have yet to figure it out. I messed with it again this morning, and will be again soon.

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

i keep trying. i have reinstalled everything, running as admin, tryin over and over again. thius really sucks!
I was really hoping for some T-X help here. there seems to be too many of us having this problem to not have much smarter people than me who have figured it out by now.
i get the same autobaud error with my Nand-X disconnected from the CK3, the CK3 not even plugged into my molex power supply, power on, power off, all preset baud rates. it does the same when plugged into my extra plugs on my desktop power supply. all usb's are powered, i know they are good, i can use any other devices on them with no issues.
Is it possible to be a permision setting, set by default, to block, or stop this type of action from working? I have tried 2 laptops, and my desktop. all having the same issue. all on Win7 32 bit. do i need to change something?

Where is T-X staff to swoop in and save my day, LOL

try plugging in usb to ck3pro/i and connecting to pc/laptop & nandx. Plug nandx usb cable into nandx but not into pc/laptop (yet)

Now choose settings in flash magic as per tut. Now switch off ck3 pro/i then on, click start in flash magic within a second, while its trying to connect plug in nandx usb to pc/laptop quickly

it worked for me, it may not work first time, just try again. I think its about timing.

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

Same problem here. Tried a CK3 Pro Rev D with the soldered cable, a brand new CK3i with and without a powered usb hub, internal and external molex power. Still get the failed to autobaud error on 3 different PC's/Laptops.

I wonder if this is due to older nand-x devices? Mine has a yellow connected LED rather than green once connected via USB.

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

i have been trying any every combination of efforts to make this work, NOTHING! my nand-x has a yellow led(red power LED) as well. does that mean its an older one and maybe somehow, un-updatable? i bought it less than a year ago, but i have no idea how long it sat on their shelf....

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

I'm kind of fed up right now myself and I think this process was the easiest out of all the rgh/jtag tuts. The guys in the UK should be getting theirs soon so I figure the cases of this happening will only increase substantially when they start getting the same errors. I've not quite given up yet because I have always used TX products, and when used correctly, they work 99.9% of the time. But this is ridiculous.:mad2: I'm about to try daleh's method and see how that works. Will post back.

I have tried daleh's method close to 100 times in hopes I could time it just right, no luck though. Let me know if it works for you.

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

I know you guys have check these things but I’m going to list them anyway, I know how it feels:

Ck3 Drivers installed and do a reboot
Install Flash Magic as Admin and run as Admin
Plug Ck3 USB in main ports on desktop computer (I never have very good luck with laptops)
You should have blue light on CK3 and Red on Nand X (this is how I had it). I’m using TX cable
Setup by UberGeek:
· Select Device: (LPC2148)
· COM Port: (Whatever your CK3 is)
· Baud Rate: 9600
· Interface: None (ISP)
· Oscillator (MHz): 12 (If you have problems set it to 14.745) I used 14.745

I had this error so I did the follow, I put one hand the CK3 switch and other hand on mouse and was ready to hit fast, I almost did it simultaneously and it worked the second time
I even switched the CK3 OFF then ON fast also

Turn the CK3 power off. Then turn on and hit the Start button IMMEDIATELY. That should kick it in.

Or you could just take the CK3 and NandX outside and stomp on it and leave it there...

 there is no older version - the design hasn't changed since day one. The problem is PEBKAC.

I guess you could try this other app from Philips - LPC2000 Flash ISP Utility You must manually set the com port to 1 or 2 though as thats all it supports (up to COM 5 i think ?).

Choose LPC2148 as the IC
