Xconsoles will update your nanx for $10 so if you can't do it yourself send it to them.

I have updated one of our nandx's which is one with the yellow light (not that that makes a difference) with a ck3 rev d (with wire installed) with no problems.

Can one of you guys that is having problems post a pic of your wire installed on your CK3 rev d.

No it's definitely pebkac.

The product is good. The guides are good. Used by thousands. The only thing I can't be sure of is you and that my friend is pebkac.

I suggest you give up and give it to a professional.

PEBKAC
lol - that's 3 pebkac's in one pmsl.....

 there is no older version - the design hasn't changed since day one. The problem is PEBKAC.

---------- Post added at 02:34 ---------- Previous post was at 02:29 ----------

If your computer isn't doing what it should and there is too much pebkac with Flash magic

then i guess you could try this other app from Philips - LPC2000 Flash ISP Utility You must manually set the com port to 1 or 2 though as thats all it supports. If you have to ask how do you set your COM port to 1 or 2 - then you have explained why you are having problems and you should get someone to do this for you.

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

I guess i have to start by apologizing for being a "low end user" thanks for that Uber.
i AM sorry that i dont know as much as some other people here, but im trying to learn. i also try to resist being an a**h**e when other people are downright insulting, or demeaning. That makes it nearly impossible to figure out what i am doing wrong. I said in one of my earlier posts that i'm sure its me. you mention in your tut, at the bottom, that the "older" nand-x had yellow LED's, that why i asked if there was a difference.
i suppose it is PEBKAC, but that is no help, just insulting. i can take constructive criticism when its justified, all im doing is trying to find out what I did wrong.
i didnt blame my tools! i dont believe i deserve to get flamed by you for trying to figure this out.

When he mentions PEBKAC i would just look over the steps you've taken maybe you missed something.

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

for the record Hodgie I wasnt aiming any of the snipes at you bud. You've been good in your posts. However we all have a bad day at the office sometimes ;)

have you tried the philips app that I posted ? I used that before I came across FM - maybe that will resolve for you ?

id be happy to arrange a tx reseller close to you to upgrade all your stuff free of charge (worse case scenario)

App: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SBR1L2ON

Only supports low number COM ports so set to lowest available in device manager (for ck3)

Select LPC2148 as the IC

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

I had trouble flashing my nand-x using the ck3i with Flash Magic. I kept getting a validation error at 0x00000024 right after it flashed the V3 hex file. All the settings were exactly the same as on the official TUT. I tried the LPC2000 ( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SBR1L2ON ) to flash the device and now it works! (Selected LPC2148)

BTW you will need to change your COMM port to between 1-5 if it's over 5 (Device manager, advanced properties of the ck3i drivers)

THANKS! :D

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

I tried the LPC2000 and I think there is a bug in the device combo box. It doesn't let me select a device.

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

Sorry if i got a bit sensitive Uber! I was getting frustrated, and i couldnt figure out what i was doing wrong!
i will try that in the afternoon tomorrow, im at work now. I have installed it, but i thought, for some reason that LPC2148 wasn't in the dropdown box as a choice. But i havent used it yet, but will try first!
I have no problem buying another one, just to keep mine as a back-up, and still support T-X. i was waiting for Xconsoles to be back up. I was planning on buying another, and having them update mine.

Re: "Operation Failed, Failed to Autobaud" error while trying to flash Nand-X

You can change the selected device by setting it in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\LPC210x_ISP\Device_Settings

Set Device_Name to LPC2148 then restart the program.

The Phillips tool doesn't work for me either. I'm using an old CK3 Pro. Has anyone with an old CK3 Pro successfully programmed their Nand-X?

hundreds have to be fair

as far as i can tell the issues are strictly towards individuals pc setups

without being their physically i cant help.

personally i cant get it to fail - i know that doesnt help you though.
