Hello, first post here..
I have been given a Falcon MB system and the only info the owner would give me is "it don't work"..
Plugged it in and I get an orange light on the PS but nothing else. So been doing lots of reading the last 2 days. Checked voltages on PS and get a good 5v standby.. Opened the system ( never had an Xbox to play with before ) and noticed the warranty sticker was missing and the tabs at back a bit mangled so it is not a vergin, i'm not the first one inside it.
Caps looked fine and everything just looked a bit dusty, checked everything I could think of and they seem fine, cleaned off dust etc and found solder on J2D2 etc so I assume someone has tried giving it a jtag treatment.
It is about then I noticed some damage on a ram chip photo here:
Do you think it possible to repair this board or is it only good for binning..???
Anyone have any idea how this damage may have been caused..??
