Hi,

I would like to get my 360 modded so I can play ISO images (either from the 360's HDD or an external USB jobby) instead of having to insert DVDs. After all, I don't want to get my valuable original disks damaged do I, plus I'm too lazy to keep putting them in the drive :D.

I've been searching for info and had settled on getting an RGH mod with a new Proto V2, but I've since learned that I don't have to do that, and there are other options out there.

I have no interest in Xbox Live, so getting banned on there would be of little consequence to me, but if there's hardly any difference in cost between a method that keeps Live and one that gets you banned, then it would be logical to opt for the former.

What's the cheapest method out there to achieve what I'm after ? Is it still RGH ?

Ta Muchly !

Rgh is probably your best option.
It's cheaper and you can run games from hdd and network storage. you can also run other unsigned code like emulators, linux etc. You will get much more than just playing games from hdd.

you could go the odde route but they are more expensive and only let you play games from hdd.

With an RGH console, you can use FSD to extract the contents of a game disc to the hard drive so that it can be played without the disc in the drive.

You can also use an 0800 drive to create an ISO of an original game disc and then use ISO2GOD to convert it in to a GOD container and transfer it to your hard drive.
