Orange Flashing eject button on/off 3 times:
These are set like this:

I have received a premodded x3 with control panel and 120gb hard drive, today. When I turned it on, the normal xbox options screen came on after setting time, video, and audio options. I inserted a game disc. The xbox eject button then flashed yellow, turned off and then turned on/off 3 times, and shut down.
It is doing this now every time. Wow I hope I didn't ruin this xbox too, I spilt solder on my last attempt and and decided to get premodded this time so it wouldn't be so complicated what do I do now?

Please help me, I have no idea what happened. I have searched forums and tutorials. I'm sick, I tell ya. Can not find anything to troubleshoot.

This is what I have

Premodded XBOX
- Air Cooler (Keeps System Cool) Yes
- Additional Modifications No
- Case Mods No
- Hard Drive Upgrade 120 GB (Seagate)
- Modchip Xecuter 3
- Pro Switch (X3 CHIP ONLY)

I have no idea how to do this I read it in a forum

"There is both FlashBIOS v3.01 and v3.03 programmed to these mods"

"SO if you get the black screen / orange flashing / no eject then you have a v1.6b and the mod is switched to v3.01 - you need it switched to v3.03"

Well, this means that if you select those banks on the Xecuter chip, you will get the Flashbios program with that version. These are the switch settings for the banks above.

Bank 2: off on on on
Bank 3: on off on on
Bank 4: off off on on
Bank 5: on on off on
Bank 6: off on off on
Bank 7: on off off on
Bank 8: off off off on

Settings these banks on the front panel will result in you booting into a Flashbios of that version. Backup is a special bank, and can be accessed at any time by pressing power and eject at the same time to start the xbox.

Had the same problem. My Halo Edition XBox was fragging after bootup - on for a second, off for a second, on for a second, off for a second and then WHAM! Christmas tree fragging.

Turns out I had to not use the 1.6plus BIOS, but the 1.6 BIOS on the 5678 bank.

Working like a charm now.

sounds like you gotta flash it and install your own dashboard etc

Switch Settings:
Banks 1-4 v3.01 - 1st 1MB Bank (on on off off) you already got that...
sounds like you have a 1.6b.. so try
Banks 5-8 v3.03 - 2nd 1MB Bank (off on off off)

Once you boot up into this, switch back to (on on off off) for flashing...
Very important! You don't want to flash over your only working bios, incase
something goes wrong.
