hey i lost my orig.bin during the flashing process and f**ked up my ms28. Whatevs. But I recently bought a 360 off of ebay with a stuck dvd drive. My question is can I dump the firmware off the drive and inject it into the ms28 and switch dvd drives to match the motherboard. Im just wondering? thanxxxx

you have to have your key.it dont matter what drive you have.
you should still have your orig firmware.you should not lose it when you flash.what happened to make you think you lost it.

no i f**ked up my ms28 drive and flashed over the orig.bin without backing it up. I was just asking if I could take the key from the new drive that is jammed and lock the ms28 to the other motherboard.

Cofree - you need to read better.

Yes, assuming you can dump the drive and get the firmware from it, you can certainly make your ms28 from your old system work with the new one from ebay and the broken drive. You may also was to ask the seller if they already have a backup of the original firmware.

The firmware from the jammed drive can always be read using a programmer and may be a last resort if you can't dump the firmware from it. It may be a last resort if you buy the system but can't dump the drive using software.
