Original Bios Problem ???

Ok guys, yesterday I tried to boot my Xbox with X3 disabled and as soon as it tries to load the xbox dash I get the error code 13 and the led flashes green-red. I had a look at FAGs and I understand whats has happened but I can't understand why? The only thing I did to my xbox after installing the X3 was to format drive F: through X3. The hard disk is locked.

Another question : Does x3 backups eeprom everytime xbox boots (I got the idea that this is happeming) or only once at the installation.

Other than that my Xbox works perfect. Thanks guys.........

PS. I noticed only once when my kids were playing that the X3 switch led was Purple. After that I checked all the boot combinations and I didn't see any problem till yesterday.

does your box try to boot, then stop three times?

to fix error 13, you have to reinstall the original m$ files. so restore your c backup.
if you dont have a backup of the original c partition, download slayers.

the eeprom will be stored on the chip automatically. when you ftp into your box using x3cl, you will find the eeprom in the administrator directory.


when x3 led is purple, you booted the backup flashbios. (eject + power)

the error code 13 means that the box cannot find the dash i think ,or something like that. so yea, that seems like the thing to do.

It boots perfectly with any other bios loaded to x3. Yes, i have a back up of c:. Do you think that simply by FTPing all the c partition will solve the problem?

About the X3 led that were purple I said that my kids were playing that time. If i try now to power<1sec + eject I get the Flash bios screen.

its supposed to launch the flashbios screen when you push eject + power.
so whats the problem.

just hit the power button if you want to launch your box.


and yes, restoring c backup will fix error 13. just try it and youll see that it worked.
