I have one of the first Xbox's to hit the streets. I sent it off to a friend about a year ago to mod it. It is my understanding that there was no chip needed on mine since it was an original. We put a 200gig hard drive in it and he also put (I think this is right) Excuter2, Evox and several other utilities for copying my games local to the hard drive. I picked up Fary Cry Instincts and attempted a copy to my hard drive using this copy utility that was installed. All others have copied fine but this one just copies over into some demo mode and you can only play the game with the original CD. Is there anything I can do to fix this. Do I need a flashBios upgrade, dashboard upgrade and or a copy utility upgrade?

Just for future reference, given the version of my XBox, what steps do I need to follow to do future upgrade?

Thanks for any and all help in advance!

Tell us more about this "uber" box you think you have. Like, a serial number and manufacture date. Have you ever opened it to see if there is a chip in it?
