I cant post in the regular forums and I really need help, I recently bought an Xbox original so I could Soft mod it for XBMC and I saw when I first switched it on that instead of "Microsoft" it said "Xecuter2". I tried to soft mod from 007 and I also tried to Hotswap but it wouldnt work. I was wondering if it was the Xecuter software that wouldnt let me softmod and if there was a fix so I can softmod. P.S. If I have to, I will buy a chip.

If you saw xecuter 2 then the TSOP is already flashed and there is no need to softmod.

Yes. You can install Evox, Avalaunch or even just have the console boot to XBMC, which is my preference.

You should be able to get a boot disk (like slayers) and once in, FTP onto the HDD and transfer is over. You'll also need to work out how the BIOS is configured for boot devices.

Like Martin just said, get Slayer's Evox, AID, or they even have an XBMC Installer disk. I just now got through playing with my xbox1. You have Xecuter bios flashed already. You can even put a blank HDD with AID in the dvd drive and it will ask to format it and then install 1-click install.
Hey, I tried a link and got screwed over, can someone PM a link? It was an AID and it didn't work... Preferably an XBMC Install...

Have you solved your problem?... if not, and you still need a Slayer's disc then do an exact search on Google for this string...

The XBMC supplied on the Slayer's disc is old and you will need to source the latest version from someplace like Xbins or Eurasia.

I have XBMC installed, my next step is a 120 gig maxtor, I also have an xbox 360 elite from a friend, but I need to clean the roaches out of it, but it came with 2 120s and some games along with the wi-fi adapter and a headset

Just a little hint on putting large hdd's in the xbox. Some of the bigger hdd's you'll run into emi. I've got a 400gb hitachi in mine and had to put a layer of foil under the hdd to cut out the emi.
I have my 360 set up but there's one problem...
The DVD Drive is faulty and wont open without the upper cover opened a bit and when you put a game in it kicks it into the back of the case... But my original is modded and the drives I got hum and buzz so I am presuming they are broken from a drop of some sort...
