original xecuter mod troubles

Alright, first off: I have no idea what version of the mod I'm using. I bought an original xbox at a garage sale ages ago, and just recently decided to look into the mods it had installed. It doesn't have the fancy screen or LEDs that I see pictures of upon searching the mod up, but it has a small, black switchboard with the xecuter logo on it installed onto the lower left side of the console. It has the 4 Bank Select switches, as well as the flash protect switch. Due to its simplicity, I'm forced to assume that it's an older version (most likely the original version). Now, onto my problems.

I've gotten the xbox to work in short, week long bursts, but that's it. This console is plagued with refusing to load games (I get sent to the error stating "Service required. Call Customer Support" in several languages. The disk doesn't spin at all when this happens. The error is paired with a flashing green and red light on the console itself. No lights turn on on the xecuter switchboard), as well as the problem of it occasionally restarting itself randomly during games when it does work.

I'm not entirely confident that my problems are related directly to the mod, but I would like to at least make an attempt and ask around. I've fiddled around with various switch configurations (no change), but I have yet to actually take the console apart and check for broken connections or anything. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, and I can try to upload images if needed. Thanks.

It sounds like you have an X3 chip. Look for any boot logo etc when you power it on. When you get the customer support message, is there a number in the top corner?

There doesn't seem to be any modified boot message (I'm not seeing a new BIOS, just the usual xbox intro). At the error screen, the top left number reads "07".

Also, here's an image of the switchboard. I get the feeling that the circuit on the bottom left isn't supposed to be disconnected...IMAG0001.jpg
