OT: Who is "reubenirving" and why does he want to buy my Xbox?

Sorry for the OT post (mods - feel free to move or lock), but I received a bizarre message from "reubenirving" (noob with a single post - "my pc fried i hav the x3 for $55 shipped n 200gig $95" posted back in December) now asking me to sell him my Xbox (not likely), or build him one (I don't have enough time for MY projects let alone someone elses). Am I just a likeable, trustworthy kind of sounding guy to deal with? I don't know him from a bar of soap.

OK, so this guy might be legit, or he might be spamming the group - but a.) how many other people got a PM from him asking the same thing, and b.) if any of you do have a box for sale, you might want to PM him.

Any dealings with him are on your own.

Well, you do offer to look into writing a defragger that even you consider to be of minimal usefulness.

Bluntly, if he really wants a modded xbox so badly he should check the Xecuter Resellers list and buy a premod, or search the Xbox-scene BST forum for an xbox for sale. He *will* have to flash it with the X3 bios when it arrives, but we've all had to do that. I wouldn't provide a flashed and ready-to-rock box for anyone who wasn't a personal friend (legal reasons), and I'd make sure they were there when I did the deed so they could do it themselves in the future as needed.

Thats just because I like a challenge, and I think that the first pass code that analyses an Xbox HDD will prove one way of the other just how useful a defragger would be ... and it fits into the scheme of a much larger project I was looking into.
