Just upgraded the bios in my 1.0 Xbox, prior to this everything was working fine never had the thing crap out on me with the old bios, now I have put in the 5035 bios and my xbox boots up fine and runs for maybe 5 yo 10 minutes then just shuts off, was wondering what the operating temperature gets to before it shuts down and also looking for suggestions I have also speeded up the fan as well

The Xbox will shut off at 61° C. Make sure you plugged the fan back in and that it is working.

Well I watched it in Avalaunch to see how hot it got before it shut down and the MCPX got to like 38 C and the cpu got to 44 c and then shut down, one thing I forgot to mention is that before it shuts off completly the screen goes blank and then flashes yellow and then a few secs later just shuts down altogether

Hmm could be flashing orange as well, forgot to mention I'm partially color blind, also just tried to boot it up with the chip turned off and it frags wont even boot up so I think I better check my soldering again, originally I did a wire install when I had the Old executor chip in it and just upgraded to a 2.6 and did the pinheader install this time so I guess it's back to the drawing board

not to be a jerk or anything but if your color blind do you think that doing the color coded wire install is the best idea in the world.

Not trying to be a jerk myself but... that's some pretty funny sh*t.

If you check the second link in my sig it'll show you how to check your voltage...

Also try taking out the chip and the p/e board and booting... if it screws up you have a broken trace or a solder splash...
