P/E Adater Fried... How to disable X3?

I am running my XBOX with X3-CE BUT without the P/E adapter.
So essentially I cannot use my XBox power/eject buttons to control what bios I boot up to.

I boot into X3 bios with chip enabled by default.
I can boot into MS Dash selecting "Boot to MS Dash" in X3 menu.

QUESTION:
1. When I reboot into MS Dash via X3, IS THE CHIP DISABILED?
2. If not how do I boot up with X3 disabled?

no its still enabled...

u need to go into x3 config live (first item in menu) and select reboot with x3 mod disabled..the x will go from blue to red
