heya peepz
just thought id post this up
i find it best to do the following whenever painting anything plastic (eg xbox/controllers)
1) sand plastic with 1500-2000 wet/dry sandpaper (in dry form)
2) rub down with mineral turpentine and a clean cloth
3) let sit for 5 or so minutes
4) rub down again with just a clean cloth
5) apply etch primer (spray pack)
6) let sit for 5 or so minutes
7) apply etch primer (spray pack) again
8) let sit for 5 or so minutes
9) rub down with clean cloth
10) apply colour (spray pack)
11) let sit for however long colour spray pack says
12) apply second colour coat
13) let sit again
14) apply third coat
15) let fully dry
16) rub down VERY lightly with mineral turpentine and clean cloth
17) let sit for 10 mins or so
18) apply clear coat (spray pack)
19) let sit for however long clear spray pack says
20) apply second coat clear and let sit over night
*now this will ensure your new colour and nice glossy clear coat will stick to the plastic properly if done correctly*
*the reason i put this up is because i do alot of car plastics spray painting and thought you guys would like to know*
Hope you find this helpful
Thankz peepz
