PAL vs. NTSC

how about a PAL / NTSC eating firmware? which one would support both?

Eating firmware? There is no firmware that changes the region coding of the game and there never will be. The region of the console is not controlled by the firmware or it would already be patched.

so is there any way to playback a pal disk on a ntsc? or the other way around

Not unless the game is region free.

i thought there might be a way to fix a burner just like with a regular pc drive to either region code so that a game would be recognized as either standard.
is there a up to date list out there or here for compatible games? the lists on the net which i found are hopelessly outdated.
