LITEON 0225 Parse Failed

hi i am kind of stuck on this one.

a mate of mine try to flash his xbox,but it all went wrong for him.

first of he got his dummy file.

he messed up his pcb.so he drops it to me.so pops in a pcb for him.

but when i go to load his dummy into jf all i get is

Inquiry string found
Identify string found
Parse Failed !

not only that but he has got it stuck in the update loop.

don't you usually get parse failed when the required firmware isn't in the JF firmware folder..just guessing lol

it's a new one on me.

i aint got a clue.i no all the cfw is in jf firmware folder.

well i kind of no the issue with this now.

i now how it's stuck in the update loop.

he thought he could update with a phat lite on drive.

it took me most of the day to find this out.

so now all i need to do is try sort his dummy out.

why dont ppl wait.

he just couldnt wait till i got more switches.

would have been good for him to tell all the info upfront without you having to get it out of him

his stupidity you right there.he had a mxic pcb.

i waiting on switches.

his other mate who thinks he no it all told him to do it.

so now i got his box.in a loop.

dummy file that wont load.

not sure if even a rgh will sort it now.

just order a xtra coolrunner,

i kind of peeved at him.

and of course he expects you fix it, maybe should give it to his 'know it all' mate to fix...lol
maybe the 'know it all' mate can buy him a new console too

tbh i not sure if i can sort it for him.told him to get a new xbox just in case.

and just said next time you told you cant spoof drives no more.

then you might lisern.

lent him my spare one for now tho.

and told him not to mess with it.

right kind of figure out why his dummy wont load.

he used the identity,inquiry,serial,key files to make it.

i ask for his orig dummy.he replaced it with the one he made.

and coz the serial wont load to rebuild a dummy file.it is now incomplete.

so i am open to any ideas on how to make a dummy file from the identity,inquiry,serial,key files.

i no it's a long shot.but all i want to do is get it out of the update loop.

at the end of the day m8, your putting alot of effort into sorting your m8's box out, and if you do manage to get it sorted the chances are he is now going to be banned anyway for spoofing his drive, is the update stuck just because of spoofed drive?

cause putting any original make of drive in key or not should allow update to complete

well dump the nand on this console.no bad blocks.

dump it 8 times.all the same.

looks like it's stuck in the 13146 loop.

waitin on the leads to come in stock at modtraders.to do the rgh.

try makin a home made ltp lead using a old printer lead.but i get iMPACT:923 - Can not find cable.

well i now have the coolrunner installed on this console.

boots up fine.

still no drive workin in it as of yet.

so lots more readin as this is new to me.

edit) just stuck a benq drive with stock fw with the drive key for this console and it boots orig games fine.

edit 2) just flashed the benq with lt 2.0 and back ups are booting fine.

well i got there it took me a while to get to grips with this,now i just got to get to grips with the dash.installin games and that.but this one messed up console is running thanks to the tx coolrunner.:biggrin:
