part number 3

Hi part number 3 ..
the power buttons
plug into it ,then into the mainboard
when i use it with the mod chip it does
not work buttons are dead.

when i plug the buttons into the mainboard
it works fine..

not that easy though...
im using a version 1.6b board
in a 1.-5 case i made sure to get
rid of the xtra metal on the bottom first

the power supply is also from the 1.6b
so would this be a front button problem
does a 1.3 work in a 1.6 the same way

or is my part number 3 messd up?

without it hooked up . i got to flash the chip
http then after it only boots up to splash then
goes into bad hd screen about a min l8tr..
but im thinking because im not using part
number 3 its booting into ms dash ..I dont
have the right hd anymore either


anyways is 1.3 and 1.6 front pannel the same?

no lights, xbox wont power on

This fix is for ppl that have a problem
when they plug in part 3 / the button adaptor
into the mainboard. and the box does nothing
if you unplug the part 3 and plug the buttons
harness right into the board with the mod chip
still installed and it boots with the power buttons
this might help you as it did me.


ok i found my own problem /slash defective part 3

soooo if anybody else runs into this i can atleast
give one fix for it ..


take off the sticky tape on the back of the board
part number 3
and where the 2 lead wire plugs into the connector
check the two silver pads for a short.
remove the solder short ..and she will power on
you might want
to check the other 2 pads on that side for the same
thing.

this might not fix everybody's problem might be wires
or something.

Questions about Xbox live and hacked firmware

Hi all,
Look I know theres probably a lot about this but it's difficult to find what you're after in thousands of posts.

Basically, what gets you banned with hacked firmware?
Just accessing xbox live? Playing a backup? Playing an original even?

What do we know so far at least.

I mod for people and they always ask about Xbox live. So far, I've just told them there is always a risk and if they use xbox live I don't recommend playing backups.

If anyone has some for sure answers, I'd like them! Thanks.
